de Young Museum's Art Explorers Camp for ages 5-11 combines gallery exploration with creative studio projects. Campers engage with the museum's collections of American art, textiles, and contemporary works, then create their own art inspired by themes and techniques they discover. Activities include painting, collage, textile arts, and mixed media. The beautiful Golden Gate Park setting provides additional inspiration for outdoor sketching and nature art projects.
